Banana Chocolate Healthy Pancakes
Hello everyone! I hope you all had a fabulous thursday! Thursday?! Holly molly! The weekend is only 1 day away! Woohoo! I wanted to share with you the highlights of my day.
First off, I have sleep almost 9 hours last night! Which is amazing considering the fact that I rarely get more than 6 hours on any given day. I wish I could be one of these person that can be fully functional with only 6 hours of sleep but I have to face the truth. I. Am. Not. Does it means that I’m a zombie everyday?
Yes. Of course not, but I often find myself zonked out by 8 – 9pm. Which is sad considering the fact that Louis finished working at 8pm. Let’s just say that week days are definitely tough on the love life front. Let’s just say that I can’t wait to graduate and I can’t wait for Louis to get less busy at work (if you don’t know yet, he recently open his own training centre with 2 other friends).
So I woke up very refreshed and was in the mood to switch things up a bit for breakfast. I usually have a muffin, smoothie, cereals or oatmeal in the morning. But this morning, I decided I would have pancakes! I decided to make them with a Kodiak Cake mix. Then I saw a really ripe banana in the fruit bowl. Then I remembered that a sweet thing called chocolate exist. Then I decided I would have banana chocolate pancakes!
How to make them? Easy peasy! Take your favourite pancake mix (Kodiak cake is my favourite!), follow the cooking instructions and add to the mix 1/2 a banana (the ripest the better ) + 1/4 cup semi-dark chocolate chips.
*Please note that the bottle of wine wasn’t part of my breakfast
Once they were cooked, I decided to go for a run before eating them. So I did.
Nice sight for a morning run, right?! We have a huge park 5 min away from where we live so I try to go there for a run whenever I’m able to. I’ve complete a little over 3 miles but had to take numerous walking breaks because of few annoying side stitches. Ugh. I hate when that happen!
I also did a little circuit with a park bench that included some push-up, dips and box squats. I was a sweaty mess afterwards and here a picture to prove it.
This is me and my sweaty face ”au naturel” no filter, no makeup. I even think that if you zoom in you might be able to see my blackheads..
When I got home I was so ready to devour my pancakes. Are they were so so good. And the condo smelled divinely because of them! Bonus!
After a well earned shower I was smelling good again. After that, I did some school homework, I cooked and I cleaned the house <——– I wish! I actually spent the whole afternoon trying to fix problems on my blog. Ugh. I hate when that happened!
But something good happened for real! And it’s this snack:
I never get tired of this snack! Apple and TJ almond butter! Yum!
Ok, now I’m off to prepare dinner. I was planning on roasting a whole chicken but it’s still frozen I guess I’ll make black beans and sweet corn enchiladas instead!
Have a good night!
